My Song Development Analysis

1. Song structure and progression

I divide the song into clear parts: intro, verse, chorus, bridge and conclusion. The parts connect naturally and coherently. I start with an intro to create an atmosphere. The verses tell my story. The chorus is the emotional highlight, with an easy-to-remember melody. The bridge helps the song change, not be boring, then I go back to the chorus and end with a strong outro.

2. Melody and harmony

I compose the melody so that the listener is always attracted. In the verse, the melody is gentle to tell the story. In the chorus, I make the melody stronger and more emotional. In the bridge and the final chorus, I change the pitch and emotion a little bit to keep the song alive.In terms of harmony, I choose chords that are pleasing to the ear, but also have small changes between parts to avoid being monotonous. I use modulation at the climaxes to make the song more emotional.

3. Instruments and Sound

I arranged the music in a progressive way: the opening was simple, then gradually added instruments such as drums, vocals, and background sounds. When it came to the chorus, the music got thicker and fuller. I changed the arrangement for the bridge to create something new, then returned to the main theme. I focused on creating moments when the song was light and explosive to keep the listener from getting bored. The ending gathered all the emotions, which was very satisfying to listen to.

4. Lyrics

The lyrics tell a clear story. The first verse introduces the story, the second verse goes deeper. The chorus is an easy-to-remember line that conveys the main message. The bridge gives the listener a new perspective, and then concludes with the chorus, clarifying the meaning of the whole song.
